The entrance to the Luigi Luciani room is located along the street perimeter of the Human Physiology building (CU027 - period building adjacent to the pedestrian entrance on Viale Regina Elena at number 332), on the left side of the building itself (red arrow in the mapping insert).
Luigi Luciani (Ascoli Piceno 1840 - Rome 1919) Italian physiologist, professor of general pathology at the University of Parma and then of human physiology first at the Universities of Siena and Florence and, later, at the University of Rome, where he held the chair of human physiology (a.a. 1893/94) and served as rector (a.a.1898/99). He was also a Senator of the Kingdom (1905) and a national member of the Lincei (1895). He carried out important research on the automatic activity of the heart and respiratory centers.
