Vittorio Erspamer Award e Luigi Luciani Award 2022/2023

In order to encourage the scientific activity of young researchers affiliated with the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology of the University of Rome La Sapienza, two annual prizes are established, starting in the year 2020 inclusive, to be awarded on the basis of publications in peer-reviewed journals. The prizes are intended to reward individuals who excel in their respective research area and not the activity of research groups.

The two awards are reserved for those in the Pharmacology section (Vittorio Erspamer Award) and the Physiology section (Luigi Luciani Award), respectively, and replace those previously called the Young Research Awards. Coverage of a scientific publication up to a maximum amount of €2,000 (two thousand/00) will be made available to each of the two winners.
The award may be used only within 12 months after the date the funds are made available. Unused funds, or portion of funds, will be reabsorbed into the Department's budget.

At the public award ceremony, the winners will hold a seminar in English on the topic of their publication.
